LIU Zhe

Dr. LIU Zhe is a postdoctoral research in MIT PV Lab and a member of Si research team since 2017. His current research focuses on understanding defects in silicon solar cells and modules, and developing technologies that enable solar cell manufacturing with thinner wafers. Before joining the lab, he worked at Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) and received his Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore in 2016. His thesis title was “Optical Loss Analysis of Silicon Wafer Based Solar Cells and Modules”. He also received his B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2012. Besides PV research, he enjoys various sports, such as, running, basketball, and yoga.
