Sergio Castellanos

Sergio graduated with his Ph.D. in MIT Mechanical Engineering in 2015, and was a Roberto Rocca Fellow. He received his B.Sc. from The University of Arizona. His research focused on characterizing and reducing defects in multicrystalline silicon solar cells, and analyzing residual stress in Si wafers. While at MIT he was involved in the MIT Energy Club, Mexican Students Association, and Think Tank. He is very interested in energy policy and spent a summer in the Energy Secretariat in Mexico. In his free time he enjoys swimming, reading, and watching soccer.
